We selected Dumaguete Royal Suite Inn, primarily because 'Baybayan Resort' and New Panorama Resort' on the cosst, North of Dumaguete Airport did not have Telephones or e-mail that worked/got answered. We had stayed/eaten at these places before, so we knew where they were and what they were like. Not much good if you cant contact them to confirm a Booking.
Dumaguete Royal Suite Inn, however had several land lines, Mobile and e-mail contact information, and I got a Text reply confirming 1 x DeLuke and 1 x Family Room for our group. We were to be going to Katrina 2, subdivision on Saturday afternoon, so conveniently located for that, and for access to Dumagute City via Flores Ave promenade that takes you to Dumaguete port and the promenade with many Bars/Restaurants and easy walk of Banks etc from there.
You might want to avoid Family Room #22 on a Friday night if a Bakada Group having a Karaoke session (but in fairness they did stop @ 22:15, when my friends said they wanted to go to sleep).
DRSI have great food in their Restaurant. Tasty, large portions and reasonable price, makes it excellent value for money.
The Beds are 'firm' and you might light to ask if they can provide additional pillows.
I will have no hesitation in recommending DSRI to anyone seeking convenient location and great value for money.
The staff are friendly and accommodating.
